Information about registration (Summer semester 2026)

Registration for the B1 intensiv course on March takes place via Stud.IP. and for the A1 course via Contactus: Contactus - courses (uni-halle.de). via Contactus - courses (uni-halle.de).

Registration period for German courses in summer semester 2026:

16 March 2026 to 30 March 2026

via Stud.IP for students, staff and PhD students with a Stud.IP account

via Contactus-courses (uni-halle.de) for students, staff and PhD students who do not yet have a Stud.IP account.

Registrations for courses will only be accepted if the follwoing requirements are met:

1. Registration by 30 March 2026 (Note: if you expect to arrive in Halle after this date, you must apply for the course before you come to Halle)

2. Participation in the MLU Language Center`s placement test on 30 March or  7 April 2026  or   completion of a previous course at the MLU Language Centre (with certificate)

3. Courses designated for the Business Economics bachelor study programme  are only open to students from this programme.

4. Courses designated for  academic staff are only open to PhD students, postdocs and academic staff.

Dates: Placement tests: (30 minuten)

30 March 2026:   3 p.m. LLZ, Hoher Weg 8

7 April 2026:  Time:   Location:  (to be announced)

After registering, you will receive an invitation email with all the information you need for the placemnet test in good time.

Course start:  13. April 2026

If all requirements are met, you will receive an invitation email on 10 April 2026 for your course. Regardless of whether you registered with Stud,IP or Contactus. Please note that our courses are limited to a total maximum of 20 participants.

All courses end with final exam, which will occur no later than 24 July 2026. ECTS credits will be awarded on course completation.

We try to guarante a place in our courses for Erasmus students and other exchange programme students who are only at MLU for one or two semesters. Please note that registration must be completed by 30 March 2026. (Note: if you expect to arrive in Halle after this date, you must apply for the course before you come to Halle)

We can only admit registered students and MLU employees to courses at the MLU Language Centre. Research staff from other iinstituts (Leibnitz Institute, Max Planck Institute, etc.) can/must submit a guest student application of MLU by 15 March 2026.
