German Language Courses
Information about registration (Winter semester 2025/26)

From September 15 to September 30 and October 1, 2025, the MLU Language Center is offering an A2 intensive course and a B1 intensive course for MLU students and MLU doctoral candidates. The courses will take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (5 lessons per day from Monday to Friday).
Registration for both courses will be open online from August 11, 2025, via Contactus - courses (uni-halle.de).

The German courses for international students and staff will start at the MLU Language Centre from 20.10.2025 (end of course: 06.02.2025)
Enrolment for the German courses for the summer semester 2025 takes place from 08.09.-26.09.2025 via Contactus - courses (uni-halle.de).
After 26 September 2025, registration for the German courses is no longer possible.
New incoming students and students who never studied before at MLU Language Center, are invited to do a 30-minutes-placement test on September, 22, at 16:00 or on October, 15, at 16:00 (Prüfungscenter MLU, Mansfelder Str. 15). This test is mandatory for all new students. After you have registered in ‘contactus’, you will receive an e-mail with further details about the placement test.
ECTS points are awarded for all courses (exception: phonetics). All ECTS courses end with an exam.
Please note that our courses are limited to a maximum of 20 participants. At the Language Center, we can only accept enrolled students and employees of the Martin Luther University Halle in our courses.
The courses with 10 ECTS are prioritized for program students (Business Economics).
